Privacy Policy

This policy explains how LoveShort (“we”, operating www.loveshort.ai and app.loveshort.ai) collects, uses, stores and shares your personal information when you use our short-drama service. Please read it before using the service.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you sign in with an email code we collect your email address. When you choose “Continue with Google” we receive your email address, display name and profile picture through Google’s authorisation, solely to create and identify your account. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not read your contacts, mail or cloud files.

Information generated through use. Watch progress, favourites, likes, comments, unlock and purchase records, and virtual coin balance.

Device and sign-in information. To protect your account we store, against each session, your IP address, browser identifier (User-Agent), device identifier and country/region.

Cookies. We use essential HttpOnly cookies to keep you signed in and to recognise your device; these cannot be read by page scripts. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How we use this information

• Create your account, verify your identity and keep you signed in
• Provide playback, resume, favourites and comments
• Process paid unlocks, coin top-ups and spending records
• Detect unusual sign-ins and prevent account theft and abuse
• Present the interface and content in your chosen language
• Meet obligations imposed by applicable law

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we will not use it for purposes unrelated to the above without your consent.

3. Sharing and processors

We disclose information to third parties only where necessary:

• Authentication: Google, only when you choose Google sign-in, to complete the authorisation
• Cloud and delivery: BytePlus, for object storage and content delivery of video and images
• Payments: our payment provider handles transactions when you top up or purchase; we do not store your full card number
• Legal requirements: where clearly required by law, or to protect the vital legitimate interests of others

4. Storage and security

Our servers are located in Singapore. Session tokens are stored as hashes, so the database never holds a directly usable token, and all site and API traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Please understand that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we continue to improve our safeguards.

Retention: account information is kept for as long as your account exists. Sign-in session records are cleared once they expire or are revoked. Transaction and spending records are retained for as long as necessary to meet financial and compliance requirements.

5. Your rights

You may contact us at the address below at any time to:

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information (display name and language can also be edited in your profile)
• Delete your account and the associated personal information
• Disconnect your Google account from LoveShort
• Withdraw consent you previously gave

Account deletion: once we receive your request we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Minors

This service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to this policy

When this policy is updated we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. For material changes we will give additional notice in the app or by email.
